Sandy is a native New Yorker, having been born "downstate" [Westchester County] and moved "upstate" later in life. She began "serious" photography for about ten years and photography has always been a part of her life. Her father was an amateur photographer, as was an uncle, and an early 20th century cousin was a professional photographer as well.

Sandy has explored a variety of approaches, and her galleries are a testament to that fact. Her more recent work, however, has centered on a more impressionistic approach, having discovered the work of Freeman Porter and Andre Gallant, as well as Better Photo's own Tony Sweet and Bill Neill!

Sandy has shown her work at the Boca Raton Museum of Fine Art and the Coral Springs Museum of Fine Art, and had a one-person show in the Capital District of New York.

Sandy currently divides her time between the Mid-Hudson and Taconic Regions of New York State, and winters in Palm Beach County, FL, where she was active in the Boca Raton Museum Art School.

She is currently shooting with Canon digital equipment, both the 10D and the 5D.
